It can be expensive to rent in London, but if you're in a group, you may save
money by renting from one of the following. All specialise in holiday lets,
though some have minimum stay requirements.
These organisations can arrange accommodation in a Londoner's home (often more
fun than an impersonal hotel); rates include breakfast.
Hostel beds are either in twin rooms or dorms. If you're not a member of the
International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF), you'll pay an extra £2 a night
(after six nights you automatically become a member). Alternatively, join the
IYHF for £13 (£6.50 for under-18s) at any hostel, or through www.yha.org.uk
, which also allows you to book rooms. Always phone ahead for availability. The
hostels listed take MasterCard and Visa; prices include breakfast.
