Depart USA

Board your flight from the US to London.

Day 2 Friday Br D
Arrive London

A private car takes you to London’s Victoria Rail Station, where you board Orient Express’ Northern Belle and depart at 9 AM. Enjoy a champagne brunch on board, arriving at York in the afternoon for a private visit to Castle Howard, setting for PBS’ “Brideshead Revisted.” Dinner on board as the train continues north, offering spectacular views. Arrive Edinburgh. BALMORAL HOTEL.

Day 3 Saturday BLD
Edinburgh

After breakfast, explore Scotland’s capital city where tall buildings in medieval Old Town contrast with classical architecture in Georgian New Town. Take in Edinburgh Castle, the National Gallery and Holyroodhouse. Additionally, a guided Glasgow excursion is available. Note, golf can be arranged here as an optional extra. BALMORAL HOTEL

Day 4 Sunday BLD
Oban/Isle of Mull

Set off early to the Inner Hebrides. At seaside Oban, sail to the Isle of Mull and Duart Castle, the ideal setting to witness traditional Highland games and dancing. Enjoy local liqueurs and whisky before sailing back to the mainland. Tonight indulge in a gourmet Scottish dinner aboard the train as you travel back to Edinburgh. BALMORAL HOTEL

Day 5 Monday BLD
Yorkshire/Chester

Travel the scenic route of the Settle and Carlisle railway, known for its soaring viaducts over the Yorkshire Dales. Visit Haworth, the site of the Bronte sisters’ parsonage home. Next, visit nearby Saltaire, the Victorian factory town, developed in 1853 as a social experiment. Reboard and travel to the medieval walled town of Chester. CHESTER GROSVENOR HOTEL

Day 6 Tuesday BLD
Wales/Bath

Following breakfast, board the Northern Belle for a visit to the beautiful Bodnant Gardens in Wales. Reboard and head through the idyllic Cotswolds to Bath. A blend of Roman and Georgian history, Bath is a living museum. BATH SPA HOTEL.

Day 7 Wednesday BLD
Bath

Explore the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, the Assembly, the Royal Crescent and the Museum of Costume with displays from Tudor times to present day. After lunch and some free time for shopping, depart for Sudelely Castle, a restored medieval fortress. A private tour of the castle and a sumptuous banquet await you this evening. BATH SPA HOTEL

Day 8 Thursday BL
Stonehenge/Salisbury

The Flying Scotsman, the famed steam engine, joins the Northern Belle for the trip back to London. Stop along the way at Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. Reboard and return to Victoria Station. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy London. Private transfer to SOFITEL ST. JAMES.

Day 9 Friday B
London/Return to US

A private car takes you to the airport and your return flight to the US. Thank you for traveling with us.
